Scottye Carter-Dewey began her career at Next Gear Solutions in 2008 and serves as Director of Operations. She is responsible for general office administration, management of the Technical Help Desk, and overseeing Human Resources.
Through her Help Desk management, Scottye ensures that all customer interactions are handled thoroughly and quickly and that smooth departmental communication creates a quick turnaround for customers. Her main passion at Next Gear is ensuring the happiness and success of all employees, as happy and engaged employees foster satisfied clients and successful relationships for all involved. As Next Gear’s third employee, she has witnessed our rapid growth and considers herself a protector of Next Gear’s history and culture, especially our core values.
Before her time at Next Gear, Scottye earned a Master’s from Sotheby’s Institute in London, England. She brought her knowledge of retail business and her entrepreneurial spirit to Next Gear to assist in developing a dynamic staff and seamless processes. Scottye and her husband, both Ole Miss alumni, have lived in Oxford since 2001. She is an avid supporter of the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society and enjoys traveling and collecting antiques.
